Why President Trump Should Resign

It has become very clear to me that we've reached a point of no return in American Politics. It's bitter, divisive, and quite frankly just abhorrent. There is no reality that the founders conceived that could possibly have prepared them for the stench wafting out of Washington, DC today. The Swamp as it has become known is rotting at a rapid pace. If there was ever a time for someone to use something called Bleach-Bit, perhaps it is now, and that would be to erase the last 20 years of hate and disgusting behavior since November of 2000 when the Democratic Party took a turn that they have never recovered from, calling a President of the United States illegitimate. From that moment on, politics as we knew it became decidedly different and what was something of a sport of gentlepeople became a war of sides determined to do anything to hold on to power. The Republican Party is not without shame, but they certainly have not acted with the kind of disdain for the Constitution that has been on display by the Democratic Party for the last two decades. The culmination of this began in 2016 with the investigation of then Candidate Donald J. Trump of New York for collusion with Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. It was only this year, in 2020 we found out through a hand written memo from then CIA Director John Brennan to then President Barack H. Obama III that the basis for the investigation was bogus from the start because the imputes of the charges were born out of the political campaign of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who apparently personally approved of the sleazy assembly of lies put together by former British Intelligence Officer Michael Steele via her campaign's law firm Perkins Coie, who had hired a company called Fusion GPS to do their dirty work. The so called Dossier was passed around to major media outlets who failed to bite until it came to rest on the desk of internet company Buzz Feed who pasted it on their website and that gave license for everyone else to pick it up as a news story. A copy was also provided to then Senator and former Presidential Candidate John McCain AZ(R) who promptly forwarded it to the FBI for review. He didn't know they were aware of Steele who had been on their payroll as an asset and who had been let go. This became the basis for the Muller Investigation and later part of Articles of Impeachment against the President.

The President should not accept the manner in which this election has been conducted in Democratic stronghold Cities & Counties in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin with grace or decorum, nor should he in any way attempt to be a healing force to bring the country together with those who seek to corrupt it with the tyranny that has absolutely polluted our republic and soiled our Constitution. The President is in mortal danger of being persecuted by his adversaries in the Congress and what may be an incoming administration of extremist malcontents and he has watched their “Cancel Culture” in action for the full four years he has been in office to guide his judgment going forward. The President has no choice if his options are exhausted and he is denied a second consecutive term in office but to resign his office prior to January 20th and make Vice President Pence the 46th President of the United States. However, before he becomes the 2nd person ever to take such an action in our history, he should do something not innovative but self-serving and that is to Pardon his family members, all of the current and previous members of his Cabinet, all of the current and previous members of the White House Staff, and anyone whom he deems might be a target of the extreme left who have announced that they have begun to make lists of his supporters to black ball them from ever getting jobs again. The President lastly should make a pre-emptive pardon of the Vice-President (not that he needs one) and then after signing all those pardons, step down quietly without fanfare.

Upon taking the Oath of Office the new President Michael Pence of Indiana should pardon the former President Donald J. Trump of Florida. This single act will forever place him in the history books as a President with courage and wisdom, much like his predecessor President Gerald R. Ford who Pardoned Richard Nixon, though in this case President Pence will have been an elected Vice President, and President Trump will have committed no crimes that after years of investigations no one has been able to bring charges to bear. Both men will be able to move forward in their lives either to run again in 2024 or not, and without the harassment of the media elites and the Democratic Party extremists in Washington, DC.

The Trump Administration has managed to survive unbelievable scrutiny and harassment, provided the most transparency and most media access and still has been able to accomplish more in four years than many administrations have hoped to get done in two terms. President Trump’s legacy in the Federal Judiciary will last for Decades both in the Supreme Court with three appointments and in the Appellate, District Courts, and other courts where his appointees will serve for a very long time. Additionally, the President has set into motion a permanent movement of reform in the Veterans Administration that cannot be reversed, and he has made significant strides in improving the Criminal Justice System through the First Step Act. The President has acted to improve lives with Opportunity Zones in low income neighborhoods, and to secure the border better with miles of additional border barrier that the Border Patrol asked for and finally was able to receive. The President cut incredible amounts of burdensome regulation and passed sweeping tax reform. He worked to help make the United States energy independent for the first time and turned our country into a net energy exporter. The President renegotiated NAFTA and created the new USMCA Agreement, renegotiated trade deals with China, South Korea, Japan, and the EU. The President made huge strides in pushing NATO Countries toward meeting their 2% commitment of GDP toward Defense. Very recently the President and his team was responsible for creating the opportunity for Peace in the Middle East between Israel and its Arab neighbors without it being tied to a Palestinian State. The President stood up to Iran and took out it is terrorist General responsible for thousands of American war dead. The President’s Administration did all of this while fending off a hateful biased press, endless investigation, and even an impeachment trial over a telephone call.

The President deserves to be in peace, to have a life free from harassment, and regardless of his future he should be afforded a place in history deserving of someone who paid homage to his country and its values. He has never waivered in his Patriotism and his wanting to place America First has never been a something to deny anyone else anything, rather to put things into perspective. He has often told other leaders on the world stage he expected them to place their own countries first. America is not a stain on the world, not should it be its PiƱata. We're tired of endless wars and tired of being taken advantage of for the benefit of anyone but ourselves. President Trump has been saying the same thing for many decades and as President he put his words into action. Had there not been a Pandemic his economic programs that had begun to life every group out of poverty and every part of society upward would have continued to advance. There would not have even been a question about a second term.
